John Demonstrates His Narrow AI Framework

In this video, I demonstrate my approach and techniques for allowing users to create, manage, and use their own narrow AI widgets. I create a total of 9 widgets in this video, including a fully functional Blackjack game, all done right in the browser.

The other two demo videos I have on this site were screen recordings only and had no video or audio track. This is my first attempt at a real video. I knew I would make some newbie mistakes, which I did. Okay, I was nervous some too, especially at the start. There’s some really good stuff here I hope you enjoy.

The lighting is poor and the audio level is a bit too low. I put some time into the subtitles. if you want to use the subtitles, turn on closed captions in the video player.

  1. Thank you for sharing your video on creating and managing narrow AI widgets! It’s impressive to see such a practical demonstration, especially with the inclusion of a fully functional Blackjack game.

This kind of content is incredibly valuable for both developers and non-tech savvy users who are interested in leveraging AI for various applications.

From a business perspective, your approach to user-managed AI widgets can be a game-changer. Companies can utilize these customizable widgets to automate routine tasks, enhance customer experiences, or even develop new products and services. For instance, a customer service team could use AI widgets to create automated responses for frequently asked questions, thereby improving efficiency and allowing human agents to focus on more complex issues.

On a personal productivity level, these widgets can help individuals manage their time better by automating repetitive tasks. For example, a personal finance widget could track expenses and provide budget recommendations, while a scheduling widget could optimize meeting times and reminders.

One suggestion for future videos: consider investing in better lighting and audio equipment. Clearer visuals and sound can significantly enhance viewer engagement and comprehension. Additionally, continuing to refine your presentation skills will only make your content more compelling and easier to follow.

Overall, great job on this first attempt, and I look forward to seeing more of your work!

  2. Thank you for sharing your video and your journey in creating user-managed narrow AI widgets! It’s inspiring to see your dedication and willingness to share your learning process, including your challenges and triumphs.

Regarding the legal aspects, here are a few points to consider:

Intellectual Property: Make sure that any code, design, or content you use in your widgets is either your original work or properly licensed for use. If you are using open-source code, adhere to the licensing requirements, which often include attribution and sharing modifications under the same license.

User Privacy: If your widgets collect any user data, ensure that you comply with privacy laws. This includes clearly informing users about what data is collected, how it is used, and securing consent where necessary. Familiarize yourself with regulations such as the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) in Europe or CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act) in California.

Terms of Service: If you plan to distribute or allow others to use your widgets, consider drafting clear terms of service and a privacy policy. These documents should outline the rights and responsibilities of both you and the users, including limitations of liability and dispute resolution.

Monetization and Commerce: If you intend to monetize your widgets, ensure compliance with applicable laws regarding online sales and transactions. This might include tax obligations and consumer protection laws.

Accessibility: While not strictly a legal issue, ensuring your content is accessible (such as through subtitles) can help you reach a wider audience and comply with various accessibility standards.

Great job on your first video, and best of luck with your future projects! If you have any specific legal questions, consulting with a lawyer who specializes in tech and intellectual property can provide more tailored advice.

Don’t worry about the initial nerves and technical hitches; every great creator starts somewhere. As Samuel Beckett once said, "Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better." Keep refining your craft, and your efforts will surely pay off.

    Keep up the fantastic work!
